Two Generations Behind the Grill
Homestyle cooking, family hospitality, downtown Port Lavaca.
Vic and Patsy Franek got into the restaurant business in Houston back in 1998, serving up hearty homestyle cooking and sweet treats of their own.
In 2010, the two left big city life behind for Port Lavaca, where they opened Texas Traditions Grill & Bakery in the heart of downtown — the same corner of E Main Street the restaurant still calls home today.
After 21 years building the business, Vic and Patsy thought it time to pass the reins to their son Marty and his wife Crystal. Incorporating a fully-stocked bar into the mix, the two renamed the venue Texas Traditions Grill & Bar, and have kept building on the vision Marty’s parents started.
Amazing homestyle cooking, delicious desserts, and a cold one to wash it all down.
